Final Step in Restoration Planning

Recently 10 Class Locomotive Number 18 was shunted over an inspection pit to allow a detailed assessment to be undertaken of the under carriage. This was the final step to inform the scope and program of restoration works required.

Early works for the restoration projects involve inspecting Locomotive No. 18’s ride height and spring condition. Check out the below video for an update on the beginning of the process and to hear more from Project Manager, John Bennett.

A delivery plan will now be finalised which will guide the restoration works moving into 2023.
