Century Old Steam Locos 10 and 18 attend Steamfest 2023

Steam Locomotives No. 10 and No. 18 were on display at this years Steamfest celebrations, recently held in Maitland. It has been quite a while since the two Locos have been on public display together, so it was a great opportunity to showcase the Locomotives for the community and share an update on their restoration journey. Special thanks to our generous volunteers, Jon, Thomas, Michael, and Nigel for polishing the Locos and shunting them to the rally ground.

On 4th June 2023, we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the end of steam haulage on the South Maitland Railways and the community will have the opportunity to get up close with No. 10 in front of the Red Shed adjacent to the Maitland Rail Museum at East Greta Junction, Telarah. We look forward to celebrating this occasion.
